A role with many options - internally in our Christchurch office or remotely as a contractor (only with significant experience).

Digital Confectioners is a highly effective game development studio and close-knit team built on a warm and personal ethical foundation. Our people have an inclusive and co-operative approach to the work environment. As a small team, we set some very high expectations for each other and work to meet those accountabilities and standards. There is a very strong loyalty and Esprit de Corps within the group.

The Role:
This role can be part-time up to full-time, and either located in our Christchurch city studio, or remotely contracted. For remote contractors, more significant prior experience is required.
We will consider qualified Intermediate or Senior VFX artists (NOT junior/intern, as we lack the ability to mentor or train).

Duties: To create and optimize visual effects in our games, with a mix of art, tech, and animation.

You are:

  • Have built VFX for shipped titles.
  • Have practical experience with technical art systems in UE5.
  • Are positively committed to the game industry.
  • Personally commitment to supporting and building other members of the team.

Tech: Unreal Engine 5, Blueprints, Niagara, and many more (you probably know the list better than we do).

Related/close roles:

  • Technical Artist
  • 3D Artist
  • Animation

We offer:

  • An excellent career growth opportunity within a very knowledgeable and experienced studio.
  • An opportunity to join a hand-picked team.
  • A fair salary commensurate with knowledge and experience.

If you would like to live and earn your living in one of the most beautiful parts of the country then why not come and join us in Canterbury. And if you have the experience and are available remotely, we’d love your help adding life to our games. Send your CV and portfolio to jobs@digitalconfectioners.com
